SPECIALITY COFFEE

District Speciality Coffee is an independant local coffee shop which was established in July 2021 and are the first to bring the award winning 3FE speciality graded coffee beans to Roscommon Town.

District Speciality Coffee can be found in Abbey House at the top of Abbey Street in Roscommon Town. We are located beside Roscommon District Courthouse, Roscommon District Garda Station and Roscommon District Council Offices hence, this is how the name District came about. We are delighted to add District Speciality Coffee to such a historical street as Abbey Street.

Abbey House is one of the original buildings on Abbey Street dating back to the early 1900’s. It had unfortunately fallen into disrepair after decades of laying idle. Its character and beauty had lay hidden for too long and it was our privilege to try and restore this building back to its former glory.

Our aim was to establish a speciality coffee experience with state of the art equipment in such a unique and traditional setting.

Our highly trained baristas take the time and care necessary to ensure that each and every cup of our coffee is consistently of the highest standard.

INSPIRED BY OUR LOCATION

Our logo, which incorporates the scales of justice circled by an incomplete coffee stain pays homage to Roscommon’s beautiful Courthouse which is in glorious view from our front window bench. The scales within our logo has a further meaning, it also represents the importance of weighing each espresso shot in order to produce a perfectly balanced cup of coffee every time.
